Make a sleeveless blouse for women.

This problem seeks to find ways of using the ubiquitous granny square or the crocheted square motif in the making of garments. Basically, this objective is to make fabric by putting together squares and half-squares.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES:

The piece was made with the front and back (from sections A to C) crocheted separately. If there is a need to increase the width of any of the sections to meet evenly at the side seams, I used a few rows of simple double crochet stitches.

Then both front and back pieces were sewn together. Afterwards, sections D and E were crocheted in the round.

FINISHING:

I shaped the neckline with a scallop edging. The pattern for the scallop edge is very simple, below – however, you may experiment with other edgings, for example, a shell pattern.
