To be worked lengthwise.

1st Row: Ch to length desired; 2 dc (keep loops of thread on hook, pull thread through both) in one st, ch 2, sk 2.

2nd Row: 3 sl st, 1 p over 1st 2 dc, 3 sl st, ch 1 over 2nd 2 dc, 3 sl st.

3rd Row: 2 dc over the one ch st, ch 6.

4th Row: 5 sl st, 1 p, 5 sl st over every 6 chs.
