Sidesaddle Shell Stitch in crochet cotton thread.

Sidesaddle Shell Stitch (lt green)
Multiple of 6 sts + 1
(add 3 for base chain)

Shell= 3 dc, 1 ch, [1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc] all into side of last 3dc just made.

1st Row (wrong side): Skip 3 ch (count as 1 dc), 3 dc into next ch, skip 2 ch, 1 sc into next ch, *skip 2 ch, Shell into next ch, skip 2 ch, 1 sc into next ch; rep from * to last 3 ch, skip 2 ch, 4 dc into last ch, turn.
2nd Row: 1 ch (counts as 1 sc), skip 1 st, *skip next 3 sts, Shell into next sc, skip 3 sts, 1 sc into next ch sp; rep from * ending last rep with 1 sc into top of tch, turn.
3rd Row: 3 ch (count as 1 dc), 3 dc into first st, skip 3 sts, 1 sc into next ch sp, *skip 3 sts, Shell into next sc, skip 3 sts, 1 sc into next ch sp; rep from * ending skip 3 sts, 4 dc into tch, turn.
Rep 2nd and 3rd rows.

    I enjoy your site very much. I like to make my own patterns too. And since you are in PI, I am looking for the sampaguita pattern that is used to make cafe curtains that is seen hanging in some windows in Bulacan where my grandfather lived. I can see it in my mind but if you can post a picture, I would very much appreciate it. I do not have a website sorry.
