Multiple of 20 sts

(add 1 for base chain)

2Cdc (2 crossed double crochets) = skip next st, 1 dc into next st, 1 dc into skipped st working over previous dc.

Work 2 rows each in colors A and B alternatively troughout.

1st base row (right side): skip 2 ch (count as 1 sc), 1 sc into next and each ch to end, turn.

2nd base row: 1 ch (counts as 1 sc), skip 1 st, 1 sc into next and each st to end working last st into tch, turn.

Commence Pattern

1st row: 3 ch (count as 1 dc), skip 1 st, over next 4 sts work [2Cdc] twice, *1 sc into each of next 10 sts, over next 10 sts work [2Cdc] 5 times; rep from * to last 15 sts, 1 sc into each of next 10 sts, over next 4 sts work [2Cdc] twice, 1 dc into tch, turn.

2nd row: As 1st row.

3rd and 4th rows: As 2nd base row.

5th row: 1 ch (counts as 1 sc, skip 1 st, 1 sc into each of next 4 sts, * over next 10 sts work [2Cdc] 5 times, 1 sc ito each of next 10 sts; rep frpm * to last 15 sts, over next 10 sts work [2Cdc] 5 times, 1 sc into each of the last 5 sts working last st into tch, turn.

6th row: As 5th row.

7th and 8th rows: As 2nd base row.

Rep these 8 rows.
