Wide Scallop

CL (Ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in same sp.
CL2 (2-dc shell) (2dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same sp.
CL3 (3-dc shell) (3dc, ch 2, 3dc) in same sp.
Picot (3-ch) Ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook.

(ch 7)
Row 1 (WS): (2dc, ch 2, 3dc) in 4th ch from hook, ch 2, skip 2 ch, (1dc, ch 5, 1dc) in last ch. Turn.
Row 2 (RS): Ch3, 8 dc in ch-5 sp, 1dc in next dc, ch 2, skip next (ch-2 sp and 3dc), CL3 in last ch-2 sp. Turn.
Row 3: Sl st in first 3 dc, (sl st, CL) in first ch-2 sp, ch 2, skip next (3dc and ch-2 sp), [1dc in next dc, ch 1] 9 times, end 1 dc in top of t-ch. Turn.
Row 4: Sl st in first dc, (sl st, ch 3, 1 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in first ch-1 sp, [skip next ch-1 sp, CL2 in next ch-1 sp] 4 times, ch 2, skip next (1dc, ch-2 sp and 3dc), CL3 in last ch-2 sp. Turn.
Row 5: Sl st in first 3 dc, (sl st, CL) in first ch-2 sp, ch 2, skip next (3 dc, ch-2 sp and 3 dc), [CL2 in next ch-2 sp, ch 1] 4 times, CL2 in last ch-2 sp. Turn.
Row 6: Ch 1, 1 sc in first dc, Picot, [(4 dc, picot, 4 dc) in next ch-2 sp, skip next (2dc, ch-1 sp and 2 dc)] 4 times, CL2 in next ch-2 sp, ch 2, skip next (2dc, ch-2 sp and 3dc), CL3 in last ch-2 sp. Turn.
Row 7: Sl st in first 3 dc, (sl st, CL) in first ch-2 sp, ch 2, skip next (3 dc, ch-2 sp and 2 dc), (1 dc, ch 5, 1 dc) in next ch-2 sp. Turn.
Row 8: Ch 3, 8 dc in ch-5 sp, 1 dc in next dc, ch 2, skip next (ch-2 sp and 3dc), CL3 in last ch-2 sp. Turn.
Row 9: Sl st in first 3 dc, (sl st, CL) in first ch-2 sp, ch 2, skip next (3 dc and ch-2 sp), [1dc in next dc, ch 1] 9 times, 1 dc in top of t-ch, ch 1, sl st in top of Picot of row below. Turn.
Row 10: Rep row 4.
Row 11: Sl st in first 3 dc, (sl st, CL3) in first ch-2 sp, ch 2, skip next (3dc, ch-2 sp and 2dc), [CL2 in next ch-2 sp, ch 1] 4 times, CL2 in last ch-2 sp, 1 dc in between next 2 scallops with Picots of row below. Turn.
Rep rows 6-11.

    • I haven’t tried, it looks tricky modifying the pattern in rows along the scallops … I’ve only done some modification along the top row. :)

  2. In the WIDE SCALLOP pattern in Row 7 you used the term “dcm”. Can you please tell me what dcm stands for?

    Row 7: Sl st in first 3 dc, (sl st, CL) in first ch-2 sp, ch 2, skip next (3 dc, ch-2 sp and 2 dc), (1 dcm ch 5, 1 dc) in next ch-2 sp. Turn.
