Today, I finished writing the pattern for a new crocheted necklace, Black Lacy Triangles. You may download the pattern here. The pattern now includes crochet symbolcraft.
If you downloaded the earlier version of the pattern, please take note of this errata (below), or you can download the corrected version thru the link above.Errata: At Rnd 3, do not fasten off. Continue to rnd 4:
Rnd 4: (Picot round) Ch 1, *sl st in first ch sp, ch 3 repeat from * to last ch sp, ending with sl st. Fasten off.
This black lacy triangles necklace is inspired by one of the antique edgings in the book “Edgings in Crochet, Book no. 4″ by Adeline Cordet which you can find at the Antique Pattern Library. For this project, you will need some sewing thread, needle (with very small eye), some gold cup beads and gold flat sequins. You will also need a bead (for enclosure) about 1cm in diameter.
I used a steel crochet hook size 6 (1mm) and black Hamanaka Lacy Crochet thread (cotton).
If you would like to do a CAL on this project, please let me know. I am interested in making another necklace this time using Philippine-made cotton thread in light color.

i am inspired by your blog. i have always wanted to make one but i don’t have the time to maintain it…just too much on my hands right now but hopefully someday I will. BTW i can’t get the pattern when i click the clicks. all I get is a black screen on the lower left of which has the word DONE.Hope you can help me get over that.Thanks.
Hi Annie,
Thanks for visiting Crochetology.
I know what you mean by maintaining a blog. Actually now I am restructuring my website, removing the blogging feature, among other things. Apart from the very slow Internet connection we have here,
documenting projects just take up too much time – sometimes much more time than actually making the projects.
So in a couple of weeks there’ll be a completely different crochetology website. Much simpler.

love your incredible jewelery designs, I have been inspired to get back to crocheting after a very
very long time. Many many thanks for your kind generosity and hope to have some help from
you some day.
Hi Ann! It also took me many years before I go back into crocheting … it’s a craft that demands time, I guess, and only recently did I manage to have the time for crochet again.
Good luck with the crafting and hope to see you again.
I like the black lacy traingle necklace. However, when I did Row 3 for the even triangles the shells came out curly and not n ice and flat. I thought that maybe I had made a mistake and made a second one and it too came out curly. For the third try instead of doing 1sc and 1dc nine times across I did ch1 and dc 5 times repeat across and then it was a nice shell that was flat.
Thanks for sharing you experience on this, Valerie! Often, thread and hook manufactures can differ and result to different results. The thread I used is from Japan and is plied quite differently from same size thread we have here locally. Also, after blocking, most crochet pieces should fall into their proper shapes!
I am trying to find the pattern which was shown on Knit and Crochet .
It was a black and white flowered necklace. I would be very grateful if you could tell me how to find this pattern.
Thank you.
