Beaded Triangles

Thread the beads onto the yarn before starting work.
Make a foundation chain of the required length, or work row 1 directly into the hem to be trimmed with right side facing.

(multiple of 8 st + 1)
Row 1: 1 ch, 1 sc in each ch to end, turn.
Row 2: 3 ch, 1 dc, *bring a bead down, 2 dc, rep from * to end, omitting bead on the last rep, turn.
Row 3: As row 2.
Row 4: 1 ch, 1 sc in each st, turn.
Row 5: 1 ch, 1 sc in first st, *6 ch, bring down and enclose a bead in 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 tr, 1 dtr, skip 5 sc, 1 sc in each of next 3 sc, rep from * to end. Fasten off.

Fringe: make a basic fringe using two lengths of yarn, placing them at the point with the bead.

Picot (3-ch) Ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook.

Row 1 (WS): (2dc, ch 2, 3dc) in 4th ch from hook, ch 2, skip 2 ch, (1dc, ch 5, 1dc) in last ch. Turn.
Row 2 (RS): Ch3, 8 dc in ch-5 sp, 1dc in next dc, ch 2, skip next (ch-2 sp and 3dc), CL3 in last ch-2 sp. Turn.
Row 3: Sl st in first 3 dc, (sl st, CL) in first ch-2 sp, ch 2, skip next (3dc and ch-2 sp), [1dc in next dc, ch 1] 9 times, end 1 dc in top of t-ch. Turn.

Row 6: Ch 1, 1 sc in first dc, Picot, [(4 dc, picot, 4 dc) in next ch-2 sp, skip next (2dc, ch-1 sp and 2 dc)] 4 times, CL2 in next ch-2 sp, ch 2, skip next (2dc, ch-2 sp and 3dc), CL3 in last ch-2 sp. Turn.
Row 7: Sl st in first 3 dc, (sl st, CL) in first ch-2 sp, ch 2, skip next (3 dc, ch-2 sp and 2 dc), (1 dcm ch 5, 1 dc) in next ch-2 sp. Turn.

(add 1 for base chain)

Ssc (Spike single crochet) = insert hook below next st 1 row down (i.e. into same place as that st was worked), yo, draw loop through and up to height of present row; yo, draw through both loops on hook.

1st Row: Skip 2 ch (count as 1 sc), 1 sc into next and each ch to end, turn.
2nd Row: 1 ch (counts as 1 sc), skip 1 st, *1 sc into next st, 1 Ssc over next st; rep from * ending 1 sc into tch, turn.
Rep 2nd row.

Sdc (Spiked double crochet) = yo, insert hook into same place that first dc of previous 3 dc block was worked, yo, draw loop through and up so as not to crush 3dc block, [yo, draw through 2 loops] twice.

1st Row: Skip 3 ch (count as 1 dc), *1 dc into each of next 3ch, skip next ch and work 1Sdc over it instead; rep from * ending 1 dc into last ch, turn.
2nd row: 3 ch (count as 1 dc), skip 1 st, * 1 dc into each of next 3 sts, skip next st and work 1Sdc over it instead; rep from * ending 1 dc into top of tch, turn.
Rep 2nd row.

1st Row (right side): Work 1 shell into 2nd ch from hook, *skip 3 ch, 1 shell into next ch; rep from * to last 4ch, skip 3 ch, 1 sc into last ch, turn.

2nd Row: 3ch (count as 1 dc), skip 1 st, *skip 1 dc, over next 2 sts work dc2tog, 3 ch, skip 1 dc, 1 sc into top of 3 ch; rep from * to end, turn.

3rd Row: 1 ch, 1 shell into first st, *skip 3ch and next st, 1 shell into next sc; rep from * ending skip 3ch and next st, 1 sc into top of tch, turn.
